Good Day all,

Please note there is a SCAM phishing email going around. 

Details:

                Subject: Skura Sent you an EFT Payment for INV (Randon Number and todays Date)

                Attachments: .png file and .htm file

                Body of message: Claiming the is a scanned document form XEROX scanner

KEY Red Flags:

1. The Senders Email address is a UK Hotmail address not from a specific company

2. The attachment is a .HTM attachment – remember .htm or .html attachments are nearly always a SCAM!

3. There is a FAKE (This sender has been verified) message… Our mail system will never insert a claim that an email is safe. 

4. The message has your email address everywhere to try and convince you it was sent directly to you.

   
   

   
   

Additional information regarding this particular phishing attempt… Deep diving into the .PNG attachment, which is normally reserved for picture files, it is found to contain a script to attempt to download malicious software.

Going forward please avoid opening .PNG files included as attachments.  If you do require a picture either sent to you or, you are sending them to someone else.  Please ensure the picture file is in .JPG format.

If you receive a message like this.  DO NOT click any links, DO NOT open any attachments.  DELETE the email and remember to also DELETE the email from your deleted items.
